This frayed denim jacket has been upcycled with an American USA theme including a bald eagle. Sunflowers and yellow Kantha embroidery give it a pop of colour whilst the words 'no mud, no lotus' compliment the hand embroidered lotus flower on the front pocket. The heart shaped design on the back of the jacket states 'forgive yourself for not knowing earlier, what only time could teach'. The band on the bottom of this jacket uses scrap fabrics and is hand stitched with Kantha embroidery.

Zebra Elhers Danlos Jacket 025JK

This whimsical and playful jacket carries a more serious message for those with Elhers Danlos Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder with many debilitating and life-threatening co-morbidities. This is something close to my heart as I live with it daily. The zebra symbolises Elhers Danlos Syndrome as it is underdiagnosed and rare, and it is assumed that if we hear the sound of hooves it must be horses, but there is always a possibility it could be zebras. Also each person suffers differently since it can affect any part of the body and brain. We are all unique rather like the stripes of zebras. This one is dedicated to all the EDS sufferers out there.
